Day-by-day itinerary
Morning · Rabat pickup & drive to Volubilis
Your day trip from Rabat begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel and a scenic drive through rolling farmland and olive groves to the ancient Roman city of Volubilis. At this UNESCO World Heritage Site you walk among remarkably preserved triumphal arches, columns and intricate mosaic floors, brought to life by your local guide.
Midday · Moulay Idriss & lunch
You continue to the sacred hilltop town of Moulay Idriss Zerhoun, one of Morocco's holiest pilgrimage sites, for sweeping panoramic views over the valley and a traditional Moroccan lunch in a local restaurant (own account).
Afternoon · Imperial Meknes & return
In the afternoon you explore the imperial city of Meknes — the monumental Bab Mansour gate, the vast Heri es-Souani granaries and the royal stables of Sultan Moulay Ismail — before the relaxed drive back to Rabat.
