Your Erg Chebbi camel trek begins in the late afternoon in Merzouga, at the edge of the golden Sahara dunes, where you meet your camel and experienced local guide as the desert light turns soft and warm.
Sunset · Camel trek over the dunes
Ride by camel caravan across the towering dunes of Erg Chebbi — some rising over 150 metres — as the sun sets over the Sahara, painting the sand gold, orange and pink. This is the classic Morocco desert experience.
Evening · Desert camp, dinner & stars
Arrive at a traditional Berber desert camp for a home-cooked tagine dinner, drumming around the campfire and one of the clearest star-filled skies you will ever see.
Sunrise · Dunes at dawn & return
Wake early for a breathtaking Sahara sunrise from the top of the dunes, then trek back by camel to Merzouga where your Morocco desert adventure continues.
