Overview
An 8-day grand tour from Fes combining the imperial cities of Fes and Meknes and the Roman ruins of Volubilis with the Sahara dunes of Merzouga, the kasbah trail, Marrakech and the Atlantic coast — the fullest way to see Morocco.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Fes city tour
Your grand tour begins with a full-day guided exploration of Fes, Morocco's spiritual and cultural capital — the world's largest car-free medina, the ancient Chouara tanneries and the exquisite medieval madrasas of Bou Inania and Al-Attarine.
Day 2: Fes → Meknes → Volubilis → Midelt
This morning you visit the imperial city of Meknes, with its monumental Bab Mansour gate, and the remarkably preserved Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You then drive through Ifrane and the Middle Atlas cedar forests to Midelt for the night.
Day 3: Midelt → Ziz Valley → Merzouga
Following the palm-fringed Ziz Valley south, you reach Merzouga and ride camels into the golden Erg Chebbi dunes for a Sahara sunset and an unforgettable night in a traditional desert camp.
Day 4: Merzouga → Rissani → Todra Gorge → Dades
After the desert sunrise, you visit the historic market town of Rissani, then continue to the towering Todra Gorge and the dramatic Dades Valley.
Day 5: Dades → Valley of the Roses → Ouarzazate → Ait Ben Haddou
You travel the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs through the Valley of the Roses to Ouarzazate and the UNESCO kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco's most iconic film locations.
Day 6: Ait Ben Haddou → High Atlas → Marrakech
Crossing the High Atlas via the Tizi n'Tichka pass, you arrive in Marrakech for your first evening on the famous Jemaa el-Fna square.
Day 7: Marrakech city tour
A full-day guided tour reveals the highlights of the Red City — the Koutoubia Mosque, the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, the Majorelle Garden and the lively souks of the medina.
Day 8: Marrakech → Essaouira / departure
An optional day trip to the breezy Atlantic port of Essaouira, or a transfer for your onward journey, completes your unforgettable Morocco tour.
