Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Rabat → Chefchaouen
Leave the capital and drive north through the green Rif Mountains to the enchanting blue-washed town of Chefchaouen, one of the most photogenic places in Morocco.
Day 2: Chefchaouen → Volubilis → Fes
Explore the blue alleys of Chefchaouen in the morning, then travel south via the Roman ruins of Volubilis to Fes.
Day 3: Fes city tour
A full-day guided tour of Fes reveals the world's largest car-free medina, the Chouara tanneries and the spiritual heart of Morocco.
Day 4: Fes → Midelt → Merzouga
Journey south through the Middle Atlas cedar forests and the Ziz Valley to Merzouga, riding camels into the Erg Chebbi dunes for a night in a Sahara desert camp.
Day 5: Merzouga → Todra Gorge → Dades
After the Sahara sunrise, travel via the towering Todra Gorge to the Dades Valley.
Day 6: Dades → Ouarzazate → Ait Ben Haddou → Marrakech
Follow the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs to Ouarzazate and the UNESCO kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, then cross the High Atlas to Marrakech.
Day 7: Marrakech city tour
