Overview
A 3-day Sahara escape from Agadir to the Zagora desert, crossing the Anti-Atlas and the palm groves of the Draa Valley, with a magical camel trek and a night in a Berber camp under the stars.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Agadir → Taroudant → Ouarzazate
Leaving the Atlantic coast, your private desert tour from Agadir heads inland across the rugged Anti-Atlas mountains, passing dramatic mountain passes and traditional Berber villages. You arrive in Ouarzazate — the 'gateway to the Sahara' and Morocco's film capital — where you can visit the famous Atlas Film Studios and the imposing Taourirt Kasbah.
Day 2: Ouarzazate → Draa Valley → Zagora desert
This morning you follow the palm-lined Draa Valley, Morocco's longest river oasis, southeast to the desert town of Zagora. In the late afternoon you climb aboard your camel for a sunset trek over the dunes to a traditional Berber camp, where a home-cooked tagine, drumming around the campfire and a sky full of stars await.
Day 3: Zagora → Agadir
Wake early for an unforgettable Sahara sunrise over the dunes, then enjoy breakfast at camp before beginning the scenic drive back through Ouarzazate and the walled city of Taroudant to Agadir, arriving in the evening.
